Photo of me by Isaac Wasserman ( https://www.isaacwassermanphoto.com/ )

Thank you for visiting my portfolio website. My name is Ian Enger and I am a photographer and photojournalist from Oregon. Being raised in Sherwood, Oregon, I spent my high school years exploring the city of Portland and attending concerts, which led to my documenting live shows that stopped through the city. Aside from live music, I worked at my high school’s yearbook which helped me explore my interests in photojournalism.

In 2019 I begun pursuing a Photojournalism degree at the University of Oregon while working toward a minor in Digital Art. Throughout my four years at the UO, I have polished my skills documenting live music, sports, photojournalistic stories and portrait work. I have covered dozens of shows between Eugene and Portland, ranging from DIY house shows, all the way to Portland’s Moda Center. In 2020-2021 school year, I started working at the University of Oregon’s Independent Student newspaper, The Daily Emerald. In 2021-2022 school year, I became the newspaper’s Photo Editor, leading the photo desk. For the 2022-2023 school year, I chose to step down as Photo Editor and into the position of Senior Photographer, in order to work more on building my portfolio rather than managing the Photo Desk.

I will graduate from the UO June 20th, 2023. Post grad, I will be available full-time for tours both in the U.S. and internationally. I will be available for assignment in Portland, but will also be available to travel.

For any questions regarding rates, availability, previous work, etc.. please email me.
